Shipping to Taylor Historic Music

Shipping Information:

We understand that your instruments are extremely important to you! While we can certainly use any of the major shipping companies, our preferred shipper is United Parcel Service (UPS). In order to protect your instruments from possible damage or loss, we strongly encourage you to read and to follow these shipping instructions. Our shipping address follows:

  1. CONTACT US FIRST... Please contact us before shipping an instrument to ensure that we will be expecting and able to receive a shipment, and that we will be able to work on your instrument within your expected time frame.
  2. PACK PROPERLY AND INSURE... Please make sure that your instrument being shipped is properly packaged and is insured! Shipping companies may not accept insurance liability unless instruments are properly packed according to shipping company specifications. We strongly recommend overboxing (double boxing) with at least two inches of padding between the inner and outer boxes (or, between the instrument's hard case and the outer box). Damaged boxes (collapsed or with dents or holes) should not be used. To ensure protection for your instruments, we strongly recommend a MINIMUM $300.00 insured amount and a guarantee from your shipper that a signature will be required upon delivery.
  3. INCLUDE THE DETAILS... Please include a note inside your shipment with all your contact information, the amount you wish the return shipment insured, the problem(s) you are experiencing with your instrument, and any special instructions you may have.
  4. NOTIFY US... If possible, please notify us when the shipment has been sent, and include a tracking number.
  5. WHAT WE WILL DO... Taylor Historic Music will assess a small handling charge to help cover packing materials for originating packaging of instruments. Otherwise, packages sent to us in packing materials which we can re-use to ship back will incur no additional charge over the shipping provider’s fee. If our return shipment using customer-provided packaging materials is refused by the shipping company due to not meeting standards, we will properly repackage and assess a surcharge to correct the problem.
